Manchester Antique & Vintage Textile Fair 2018

Visit the fair for a fantastic range of vintage fashion, antique textiles and costume sourced from around the world.

You'll find textiles from the 18th century right up to the swinging 1960's and 70's! Furnishings including pre-1950s rugs and unique fashion accessories.

Tables and tables of colour and cloth.Whether you are a student looking for design inspiration, a collector looking for a unique addition,or just want to browse beautiful materials and objects, this is a fair you can not miss.

In addition to the fair, the first floor offers an insight into textile practices, supported by guilds, museums, archives and a fabulous graduate showcase of student bursary winners.

There are free talks throughout the day, discussing textile and design topics, ideal for researchers or if you just want to know a little more about fabrics, textile design, it’s history and future.

Refreshments including traditional cakes and light lunches will be available throughout the day.

The venue will be AA signposted and there is free parking. Buses from Piccadilly Gardens Bus Station (5 mins from Piccadilly Train Station) or Oxford Rd. Take bus numbers 40 - 43, or 142 or 143 to Fallowfield, get off at the stop just after Owens Park (students residence) before Mosley Rd. Turn left onto Mosley Rd and the Armitage Centre is left at the lights
