Ten Takes On Shelter

Join the award winning Take Back Theatre Collective for an evening of ten brand new script in hand pieces, in response to homelessness and the housing crisis.

Take Back Theatre was set up by actor Julie Hesmondhalgh, writer Becx Harrison and visual artist Grant Archer, as an artistic response to the politics of austerity, commissioning urgent short script in hand pieces of theatre, in response to social and political events.

They have also moved into more installation based work, creating immersive work that explores political and social issues in more depth. Take Back is about coming together as an artistic community, and starting a conversation.

Proceeds of the event will be donated to Mustard Tree who work to transform the lives of people in Greater Manchester who are trapped in poverty or homelessness, by enabling them to gain the skills and self-confidence they need to reach their full potential.
