This year’s Manchester Pride Parade theme is ‘Buzzin’ to be Queer - A Hive of Progress’. Drawing inspiration from Manchester’s iconic worker bee which acts as a powerful symbol of unity and the bustling energy that defines the city of Manchester. Just as worker bees collaborate to maintain in their hive, Mancunians embrace a unique collective spirit that excels individual efforts. The bee is a call to action, reminding us that LGBTQ+ communities and allies can achieve great things when united. It symbolises not only the hard work that has defined the city’s history, but also the ongoing commitment to progress, inclusivity, and equality that Manchester Pride champions.
